I've been dreaming of a world where there's an escape,
the trajectory of things made me this way.
"Why the long face?", they ask me with dismay
simply watch the news and you'll grasp why we display
signs of PTSD, among other things.
Genocidal leaders show us their way of governing.
Drones keep on hovering, the fire keeps on smothering
anyone who comes in its path, it's so troubling!
Or better yet, it's horrifying, it's twisted.
The world has gone sadistic because we insisted
on denying all the signs, on believing all the lies,
even though we kinda knew it was classic genocide.
We find ourselves desensitized beyond recognition.
They may trick our foolish minds but not our intuition.
A state of indecision is what they prey upon.
If you keep on feeding monsters they will linger on.
We've been blinded for too long, it's no wonder
we keep thinking there's no lightning even though we hear the thunder.
It's time to break our slumber, wake up to the facts.
We can plan a revolution but it's urgent that we ACT!
