The legend of Bloody Mary derives from an old legend about a woman driven to the woods for witchcraft due to giving birth to a deformed baby. She was burnt and left dead. Nowadays, if somebody says the name Bloody Mary into a mirror three or four times, the witch appears and comes through the mirror to catch her victim. By then, the game is over. It is also said that a girl tried this game and got her face scratched to shreds.
